Team Penta is very clear about the role of sponsorship for our organization and we know without it we would not exist. For this reason we strive to create quantifiable return for our sponsors. Depending on the sponsor, this may be increased sales or other quantifiable benefits.

Team Penta Mission Statement & Vision

Mission Statement

To develop a racing team that understands the importance of promoting our sponsor's products, advancing all forms cycling, bringing the sport to new enthusiasts; young and old a like, and pointing out the value of physical fitness at any age.

Vision

We at Team Penta want to establish and achieve our vision of developing a team that closely mirrors that of a pro-team. This means that first and foremost we understand the importance of our sponsors and helping them increase sales through sponsorship of Team Penta. We will train in a structured and consistent manner, we will train as a team, team members will support each other, pre race strategies set and post race review, we will bring cycling to kids, and set a good example of what cycling and racing can be.

Team Sponsors

Team Sponsors provide the business aspect of any racing team, at Team Penta we intend to take this to the next level. The next level for Team Penta may include representing the products we use, directly selling our sponsor's products, and of course promoting these products while training and racing by expressing their value and directing cyclist to product sources.

Team Sponsorship extends beyond financial and product support. It is through their help that cyclists have an opportunity to compete, and that cycling on an local amateur, national, and international level is made possible. Team Penta is committed to giving back to our sponsors in the form of increased sales. We are intent on not simply looking for the "deal" because we are racers. It is our responsibility as racers and cycling advocates to "Advance the Sport of Cycling"

History

Team Penta was founded in the fall of 2001 by Anthony Luna and Chris Hansel. Both Anthony and Chris have been racing since their teens and throughout their adult lives. Anthony has a strong history of bicycle road racing and has achieved a USCF Category 2 status. Chris has raced most everything from snowmobiles to Formula Ford cars. Primarily Chris raced MotoCross since the age of 20. Chris has raced bicycles (road and mountain) for 4 years.

Team member selection is consistent with values listed in our Member Agreement. Team Members must be committed to our team objectives and goals, responsible, enthusiastic, professional, and maintain a team mentality.

Overall Goals

• Develop a competitive CAT 3 and 4, Women's, and Masters road team.
• Reach out to the community to increase participation in cycling.
• Professionally represent our team sponsors.
• Develop a successful bicycle racing team that will reach out to the community.
• Develop a mutually beneficial relationship with our team sponsors.
• To establish a positive racing reputation in the Las Vegas valley and through out the Southwest US.
• Promote a community activity that will reach out to children.
• Speak to children about achieving dreams by making positive life style choices.
