Purpose of the Race Team

Team Pentahas been developed with a couple purposes in mind. Team Penta aspires to develop a competitive amateur team that operates in a professional manner and helps to develop racers both young and old.

2003 is only the second year for Team Penta and during 2002 we have already accomplished outstanding race results. Regarding racing and to be more specific, we wanted to complete our first year with good racing results and to also be organizationally sound. Organizationally speaking, we accomplished this through delegation of activities for the various aspects of successfully participating in racing events.

For 2003 we have expanded the race team to also include a CAT 3 and CAT 4 teams along with our already established 35+ team. We have also added many new racers to the team who we fully expect will only add to our team palmares.

Team Penta acknowledges that most amateur teams do not operate in a professional manner. Additionally, often times racers see themselves as somehow above the person who is just cruising down the road on the weekend. We have committed ourselves to operate professionally which hopefully is obvious by reading about Team Penta and to Advancing the Sport of Cycling... This means we are open and available to those who may not race but are cycling enthusiasts at any level.

If you are a MTB or Road racer or an aspiring racer please call, email, or complete our Join the Team Penta form. If all the sponsored positions are filled you will at a minimum be invited to ride under our team license, buy and wear our apparel, and participate in Team Penta training and racing.
