In combining the Las Vegas Wheelman Website information (see above announcement regard the addition of a club division) and the Team Penta Website information the Website is truly beginning to become a resource for useful MTB and Road information. 11/06/2002New Team Penta Sponsors
Team Penta has had great success during the off season in gaining new sponsors. Penta Homes is back for the second year as our title sponsor. We must thank Mark Doppe, the owner of Penta Homes, for his continued support. If it were not for Penta Homes there would be no Team Penta.
Sunrise Hospital is one of our new sponsors for 2003. A couple individuals on the team approached them on behalf of Team Penta and successfully completed the sponsorship transaction. Sunrise offers Team Penta many opportunities for event activities related to their Children's Division. We hope to visit the kids during at least one event for 2003.
Another new sponsor for 2003 is Radiation Oncology Centers of Las Vegas and Henderson Rich Stephens, one of the owners has joined Team Penta and has been very happy with the relationship and views Team Penta as a professional organization. Rich feels Team Penta may be beneficial in gaining business for his center and in offering positive cycling experiences.
Yet another new sponsor is Sunstate Landscaping. Once again Team Penta hopes to generate useful exposure that will result in new business for Sunstate.
Another new sponsor is American Media Corporation who is a local marketing company. The owner is Pat Almeido's brother and with Pat being our marketing directory we plan for positive synergy is advancing our marketing promotions. With the help of AMC we will be creating team posters, flyers, and business cards. The objective of these items is primarily to spread the word of Team Penta.
Our last new sponsor the is the provider of our team apparel. Louis Garneau has been providing custom team apparel for many years. The founder started out as a road racer and has turned his passion into a very successful business.
Additionally, Team Penta will be displaying the logos of two local bike shops who have helped team members out during the 2002 season. Though we are not directly associated with either the Bike Shop or McGhies exclusively we figure simply supporting them as they have us is the most important objective.
10/20/2002Team Penta Announces the Addition of a CAT 3 and CAT 4 Team for 2003
CAT 4
Team Penta is adding a CAT 4 team for 2003 as a developmental section of the racing team. Our plan is to successfully qualify our racers for CAT 3 upgrades to build on our CAT 3 team for 2004. This is a fully sponsored category with the objective of gaining points towards CAT 3 upgrades while accomplishing upgrade points results.
CAT 3
We began conversations with three California CAT 3 racers initially to augment the development of a new Team Penta CAT 3 racer who upgraded during 2002. Unfortunately that did not transpire the way we wanted but Team Penta did complete the addition of the CAT 3 team with the California racers. Due to our success in acquiring new sponsorship for 2003 we are able to bring the CAT 3 racers on as sponsored members. This will be the foundation of our future and larger 2004 CAT 3 team.
10/16/2002Team Penta Announces the appointment of a Marketing Director for 2003
Pat Almeido has taken on the role of Team Penta Marketing Director. His objects for 2003 include marketing development project i.e. races, rides, etc., sponsor relations, events and exposure, consultant interface, event development, and schedule administration. With an individual focused on these areas we expect Team Penta to become the most notable cycling organization in the Las Vegas area while gaining significant exposure for our sponsors. We fully suspect Team Penta will become an advertising channel for local and Southwest US companies.
