Team Carina,
I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend spent on the bike and the comradery during our time together. When I picture a training camp I want to see some epic rides and all around "good times". I was impressed by everyone's enthusiasm and the team spirit. I wasn't sure, being a new addition, how everyone would react to our style of training and sense of humor. I can see now that it will be a good year of solid competitive spirit and a relaxed atmosphere. I am looking forward to racing together and the good times.

Hey Chris,
Thanks again for inviting me out for the training camp, the team looks really great with a lot of camaraderie and friendship, looking forward to the races.

Dear Chris,
I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity. I had a good time and
learned allot. It was a good experience.
I was wondering if it is possible for you to add my e-mail address to your
list so I get the news of the next up and coming Carina events? Race or
training ext.
Thank you again,
Engin Yesilyemis
Chris,
This training camp was definitely a success and something to talk about. The route on Saturday was nothing short of epic. Just when I thought I could relax and catch my breath, the next corner only revealed another climb. Sunday's ride was a preview of what's to come this season. Seeing the team pull through the flat land in a pace line at 35-40mph and throw down attacks on each other was impressive and look forward to seeing what Team Carina can accomplish this race season.
Not only though was the riding amazing but I met my new teammates and have nothing but good things to say. I am impressed with not only the organization but also the personalities that make up a great team.
Thanks to all for such a memorable time,
Andy Brown
I don't know about the rest of you but that was a great way to kick off the
season. Just a few observations:
Props go out to Ryan, way to tough it out and finish up strong.
Chris Carlson, can I please have 1/10 of your lung capacity???
Training camp is about long epic rides with some challenge so in my mind,
the route could not have been better, I just wish I had changed my gearing.
Props go out to the San Diego crowd, nice of you boys to set the pace and I
like that Big Hands Trusty, Terrible Herbst, and Evil Andy Brown stepped up
and bought the beers. Very NICE!!! We will hit that Hustler club next
time.
Score one for El Diablo, I am looking for round two of the Devil vs the
Chicken. We will have to paint a crucifix on the Litespeed and have at it
again.
Tip One: Vodka and Red Bull will not help you recover.
Tip Two: When your legs are cramping, standing or sitting does not matter,
just scream and keep pedaling.
For those of you that could not make it, let me be the first to say that if
training camp was any indication, this team has a lot of heart and a hell
of a lot of weapons. Hope to see all of you at the races.

Thank you to everyone who was involved in putting this awesome weekend of training together, and all who helped out, once again.
I had one of the best, beautiful and most challenging rides of my life Saturday. The day filled with meeting and making new friends, with new teammates, riding 95+mls. at over 9,000ft. of climbing across the San Bernardino Mountains was epic! What a beautiful day in the mountains and on the bike.
I look forward to more epic "Team get-togethers" like this passed weekend. This year and Next.
We all looked good rolling up through Lake Arrowhead, Running Springs, and down in Redlands. Riding as well together as a team can. Team Carina is ready for a stellar 2005 season.
Good luck to all going to Nelsons Landing this weekend.

Hi Chris, Please pass along...
My first thought to the weekend is WOW!
Saturday's ride is still in my mind and still in my legs. Great scenery, great riders, and great weather. I kept saying over and over during the ride, "I'm having so much fun!"...and that's what it's all about.
Thanks to everyone who went out of their way to say hi and introduce themselves over the weekend. I was excited for the opportunity to join a great team, but my expectations were met many times over. Everyone from Cat 1 to Cat 5 was exceptionally welcoming. That says a lot about the crew and the tone set up I'm sure in the early years. For what it's worth, you've left a great impression with the Big Bear crowd. It's a small town and word will travel fast. I'm excited to be a new edition to a great team, and will be proud to wear the Carina jersey on all my training rides up here in the mountains.
Thanks again!
Chris Hoyt
Well done, Chris. This obviously would not have happened without you. All in
all, it was indeed an incredible success, with two epic rides. It worked so
well in so many ways . . . We are off to a great start. Thanks!
Lance
Kat, Keely, and Karen had hickeys all over there bodies so it looked like a successful trip. I know the girls had a good time from the permanent smiles on there faces. I am just worried Karen is going to drop me for one of those young Cat I riders and ride off into the sunset. Also, Lasko Airlines was on time as usual with no security hang ups. Good job to all who made this trip work. CUSOON.

Hello Team,
Thanks for letting a novice tag along. It was great fun to see how unfit an old man can be. Yes really.
Hopefully we do it again and again, after I buy some new legs or a heart. Hopefully, everybody else had as much fun as I did. Now the work begins to emulate some you young studs, and studettes. All seemed to work hard, and I heard all finished strong, not that I could see what the real horses were doing.
Thanks Chris for allowing me to partake and thanks Simo for your roadside expertise and all the time you devote to us.
Jeff Whitehead
Hey Chris,
You are riding better than I have ever seen you ride. Thanks for putting on the camp, it was lots of fun and I suspect I got fit while I was there. Ken B. just dropped of my car and we were telling Julie what an amazing ride that was on Saturday. Ken asked me If I had ever done a ride that hard. I can’t believe the number of people who completed it. And Simo was crucial for the weekend. He knew what to say to get me up the climbs. I will forward you photos I took while riding.
