Team Penta Welcomes You...
Welcome to the Team Penta Website. First of all, feel free to email the Team Penta URL to your friends and begin joining us on training rides as listed on the Vegas Rides page. There are team riders on both sides of town and we are always interested in having new cyclists join us.
Team Penta was founded by Anthony Luna and Chris Hansel during the fall of 2001. As you review our Website it will become clear that our goals and objectives reach beyond racing. Team Penta's intentions include such things as community events, bringing the joys of cycling to more people, helping solo riders become part of an organized team, mentoring future racers, etc.
From a pure racing standpoint Team Penta is committed to achieving success. We continue to support our CAT 3, 4/5 racers and our already established Cat 2 35+ Masters team which consists primarily of CAT 2 racers.
Team Penta is committed to the non-race goals and objectives mentioned above. Without more involvement in cycling in general and specifically in the areas of our youth, cycling in the US will not advance to the degree it could and does in over seas. How many Lance Armstrong's are there in the US who never get or are presented the opportunity to become cyclists.
Team Penta has one overriding objective which is to "Advancing the Sport of Cycling" and this includes sponsor support. Without sponsors there would not be a Team Penta. Additionally there are our overall cycling goals and specifically our overall goals. Team Penta welcomes recreational riders, racers, or aspiring racers to join our rides.
